Broccoli And Walnut Sauce

500.0 grams of broccoli; (1lb)
25.0 grams of butter; (1oz)
1 small Onion,  chopped
150.0 grams Full-fat soft cheese with herbs
300.0 milliliters of milk; (1/2 pint)
75.0grams Walnut pieces; (3oz)
Salt and pepper
Freshly grated parmesan
 


Trim the broccoli. Separate the heads into florets and thinly slice the stalks. Melt the butter in a heavy based saucepan and gently fry the onion for 5 minutes. Add the broccoli and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the cheese and milk and stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Remove the pan from the heat and toss the sauce with freshly cooked pasta and the walnuts. 8. Serve with grated parmesan. Converted by MC_Buster. NOTES : Try this sauce with farfalle.
