In a large bowl, combine and mix all ingredients, except Cornish hens. Place hens in shallow dishes and pour the mixture over them. Marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Remove from the marinade. Roast in a 350ºF. oven for 1 hour, basting several times with reserved marinade. They may also be cooked slowly on a grill for 1 1/4 hours, brushing frequently with marinade. Makes 12 - 16 servings
