Baked Ham & Cheese Fondue

2 cups of white bread cubes
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) of melted butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups of cooked ham, cut into 1/4 inch wide julienne strips
1/2 cup of red pepper, diced
8 eggs
1 1/2 cups of milk
One 8 ounce can of cream style corn, un-drained
1/4 teaspoon of salt
a dash of pepper
2 cups of grated Cheddar cheese  

Preheat your oven to 350ºF. In bottom of a 10 inch round pie plate or baking dish, toss together the bred cubes and melted butter. Set aside 10 strips of ham and 10 red pepper cubes. In a large bowl, using wire whisk, beat the eggs until blended. Add milk, corn, salt, pepper, cheese and remaining ham and red pepper, mix well. Pour the egg mixture over bread cubes. Arrange the reserved ham and red pepper on top. Bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy, and the center is set. To serve, cut into wedges. Makes 8 servings
